Winner of Best International Performer Award 1994 from prestigious Manhattan Association of Cabarets, resulting in USA tours. Discovered by legendary American singing star Margaret Whiting, Robert worked in the USA.

Back home in Britain, theatre performances nationwide, plus appearances at London's leading venues (Purcell Room, Royal Albert Hall, Green Room, Pizza on the Park, 100 Club, London Palladium, Prince Edward Theatre).

Robert was the first professional singer in the UK to present a show about Frank Sinatra to celebrate his 80th birthday in 1993. He has performed with the legendary Kay Starr, Margaret Whiting Steve Ross, Rosemary Squires, Marlene Verplanck and the late Loonis McGlohon.

In 2008, Robert performed a forty five minute set of American Standards with his talented young new duo - Pianist Alex Standford and Bassist Jonny Gee at Stationers Hall in the City Of London to a standing ovation. In 2009, Robert released his eagerly awaited award nominated album 'It's Gonna be Easy' with legendary pianist Geoff Eales. This is a sixteen track album of songs ranging from Bacharach, to Mercer, from Schwatz and Dietz to Bricusse all neatly packaged with a specially written song by the talented Graeme Davies called It's Gonna Be Easy'.

On the strength of this Robert started work on a new show called FROM POP TO DOOWOP - songs from fifties and sixties. After several monthly tryouts at his home, a one act version of the show was debuted at a sold out Pizza Express in Dean Street to a standing ovation.

A second act was added and the two act show was presented at London's Celerated Pizza On The Park in September 2009 once again to a great reception. The Evening Standard gave it the 'thumbs up' and to Robert a glowing review. Further 'FROM POP TO DOOWOP' shows are planned in 2010 both at Pizza On The Park and further afield in St. Albans, Enfield and Harlow. An album of highlights from the show is being recorded in February to be released in Late March 2010. Robert is now the lead singer and administrator with Chris Smith and The String Of Pearls Big Party Band which tours the UK reguarly.

For the rest of 2010 Robert will be working on a new show and of course touring as lead singer with Chris Smith and The String Of Pearls.
